Pointed Pen Calligraphy

Sun, Apr 14 | 10:00 am-12:30 pm |$130.00

In this 2.5 hour class, we will go over the basics of modern pointed pen calligraphy. We’ll start with an exploration of proper techniques, including how to correctly hold an oblique calligraphy pen and practice basic strokes to gain an understanding of how pressure affects ink flow. From there, we will work through the alphabet and learn how to connect letters to form words.

Each student will receive a set of calligraphy supplies to take home after class, including an oblique pen holder, two different nibs, black ink and ink well, Rhodia paper pad, and alphabet handout.

No previous experience required.  Ages 14+.
